Extended Period of Eligibility (for Ssdi)

Claimants who choose to take advantage of the Social Security Disability work incentives and whose work has reached "substantial" level will have their Social Security Disability Insurance benefits stopped but will have up to 36 consecutive months (the extended period of eligibility) following their trial work period to get their SSDI benefits reinstated without a new Social Security Disability Insurance application, disability determination or waiting period. To take advantage of the extended period of eligibility, Social Security Disability claimants must meet certain qualifications.
