Definition of Lung Transplant

Lung transplants are treated similarly to heart transplants. The Social Security Administration (SSA) considers a person who has had a lung transplant disabled for one year following the surgery, after that year, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will monitor the condition of the claimant.
