Definition of Unskilled Work

Unskilled work is any work that requires very little or no judgment to complete simple tasks. Unskilled jobs require very little job training (30 days or less). Social Security Disability claimants may be required to lift light or heavy work loads. Skills acquired at an unskilled job are not considered transferable to other jobs. Common unskilled jobs can include dishwasher, hand packer and surveillance system monitor.
