There are three different methods available to apply for social security disability benefits. It is important to note that many people do not receive SSDI benefits the first time they apply, but get entitled to benefits after they appeal and file for “Reconsideration,” which can also be done at your local Social Security office within sixty days after the first denial. Even if you are denied during the “Reconsideration,” more options are still available, which can be discussed through your local Social Security employee.
