Social Security Disability - Kidney Diseases
The majority of kidney failure is temporary, in that it tends not to last longer than the 12 month requirement. However the Social Security Administration (SSA) is concerned with irreversible chronic kidney failure. The SSA will be looking for a history coupled with laboratory examinations and some form of indications of the worsening nature of the disease.
